My name is Nikki Blight, and I am 23 years old. I am a student in the website creation and maintanence program. Previously, I graduated from the U of I in May 2003 with a B.S. in the field of geology. I have one sister, named Kerri, who is three years younger than I am. She is currently a student at the Univerisity of Missouri at Rolla in their engineering program. I also have cat named Cedric, and a pet rock named Alan.
My interests are fairly diverse, but most of my time (when not on the computer) is taken up by video games. I'm completely and utterly obsessed with the Final Fantasy series, especially Final Fantasy VII... My favorite character is Reno, and I have written a good amount of fan fiction, both comical and serious, about his misadventures... Click here if you're remotely interested. My second favorite character is Sephiroth, one of the most interesting video game villians ever created. On that note, I am anxiously awaiting the release of "Advent Children", a direct to DVD feature-length CG movie sequel to Final Fantasy VII, which is due out sometime in spring of 2005, as well as "Dirge of Cerberus", a sequel to the sequel to be released for the PS2 sometime in 2006. Additionally, another game, "Crisis Core", is slated to be released on the upcoming Sony PSP, and is said to be a prequel of sorts to the original Final Fantasy VII game.
I am also a fan of anime, and I tend to spend far too much money on anime and anime-related merchandise. Some of my favorite series include Yu Yu Hakusho, Inuyasha, Visions of Escaflowne, and Gravitation. My favorite anime movies are Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, and Perfect Blue. I have recently started collecting doujinshi, and I am a fan of yaoi and shounen-ai.
Movies are another of my past-times, and I am very fond of action and horror movies. I love the Nightmare on Elm Street series (except for the second movie... that one sucked.) as well as the Friday the 13th, Scream, and Halloween movies. Some of the others in my collection include Pirates of the Caribbean, Sleepy Hollow, Edward Scissorhands (can you tell I have a thing for Johnny Depp?), Escape from New York, The Great Mouse Detective, and The Princess Bride.

As for music, I'll listen to just about anything, depending on my mood. I love Weird Al Yankovic, as well as Japanese anime tunes. I also listen to Sheryl Crow, Reba McEntire, Michelle Branch, System of a Down, Bare Naked Ladies, Smashmouth, WookieFoot, and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, among others... but the CD I cherish above all others is my copy of the original cast recording of ALW's Phantom of the Opera.
