Nikki's Geology For Beginners

About this Site

This web site was designed for CSC 121. All images, with the exceptions of the cover art on the Reference Books page, and the geological tools images on the Tools page, belong to me. All rock images were made using items in my personal collection, and all other photos were taken by me in the field over the course of my studies at the U of I.

This web site illustrated the following assignment requirements:

Establish a navigational theme - Navigation is on the left, excepting the main page, where they are in the center.
Create an external style sheet - See my style sheet.
Use an internal style to override one or more of the styles in the external style sheet - Can be seen on the index.html page as well as other pages.
Use Photoshop techniques you learned - All of my images were either created or altered in Photoshop.
Use ImageReady to demonstrate mastery of some of the techniques you learned - See my image map in the Get You Hands Dirty section, and my fault animations in the Faulting, Folding and Intruding section.
